A must for travel!
July 29, 2023
We recently travelled for two weeks and the baby stayed in our room with the slumber pod and we all slept well! The fan pocket gives me peace of mind that he's not too hot. I'm still having trouble with the monitor pocket, but that really was only necessary during nap time.
Pros
  • Compact, easy to assemble.
Best Uses
  • Traveling with kids

Wonderful invention
August 19, 2022
What a great invention for families that travel! At first we didn’t want to splurge on something we thought we didn’t need. But after spending several nights in hotels with a baby that sleeps at 6:30pm we reluctantly gave in. We just went on a weekend trip with the slumberpod. It was wonderful. Baby slept well in the tent and us parents were able to keep the lights on in the room for a few hours. Later, when our flight was delayed, we whipped this out and baby took a nap right in the middle of the airport! Thank goodness for this! We would recommend the slumberpod to any parent who is traveling with a baby

Makes travel with a baby so much easier!
June 7, 2022
This was a huge help in giving my daughter (16 months) a consistent sleep environment during our recent trip to visit family. It fit perfectly over several different pack-n-plays (we stayed in a hotel for a few nights, as well as at several different relatives' houses). My daughter is super curious about everything these days, so making it so she couldn't see the surroundings while falling asleep was a big help, and keeping light out no matter what the window covering situation was in our rooms was great. At bedtime we left the pod unzipped with dim lights until she was asleep, and then zipped up the door so we could turn the lights back on in the hotel room and go about our business. No more lights out in the hotel room at 7pm! My husband and I were able to hang out and (quietly) watch TV until we were actually ready to go to bed ourselves!
I do recommend using the fan that you can buy separately, as it can get a bit stuffy in there without it. With the fan though I had no worries about airflow at all. (Before going on the trip I actually sat inside the pod for a while with it zipped up to test it out - with the fan it was quite comfortable.)
My one regret is that we didn't buy this sooner, as we've done other travel with our daughter that was harder because of inconsistent sleep environments.
Pros
  • Very effective blackout material keeps out light, easy to set up and take down, light and compact for travel, footprint when set up is about the same size as a pack-n-play, creates consistent sleep environment for baby.
Cons
  • Can get a little stuffy if you don't purchase the fan, and my daughter (16 months) was a little scared of it at first so we had to help her get used to it.

Anything for a good night’s sleep!

We got this for when we will be sharing a room with a baby and a toddler and will not be able to control the environment as much as we like. Seems well made. It takes some space to put together but it’s not any wider than a pack n play when you’re done.
